Youth in Action

Breaking down walls to reach others for Christ
Together we can make a difference.
JUST A FEW HOURS CAN MAKE A LIFETIME OF DIFFERENCE.

FEB. 24,2006                      True Love Waits conference
We had a great time Friday night at the Corinth Sports Plex, God was moving among us. Barefoot led in a very spirit filled worship service before the breakout sessions, and Scott carter led the guys in a teaching of living a life of purity following Gods guidelines for a young mans life- all the way through being an adult in a Scriptural marital relationship. Rebecca Grace led the girls in a teaching on purity in a young lady’s life – to becoming mature Christian woman. Both did a fabulous job and truly followed the Lord’s hand.

After the breakout sessions we all came back together for a short time of fellowship and worship, then Scott Carter brought a message on being pure in an impure world and how God will help us to follow him and to walk in his ways if we will only ask Him to. Then Scott and Barefoot led the time for all those that wanted to commit their lives to a lifetime of purity including sexual abstinence from that day until the day they enter a Biblical marriage relationship and come and pray about these things and others and then led into the invitation. We set up two benches for the alter at the front, and they stayed full of young people praying and pouring their hearts out to God. There were nine that prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their personal savior and there is no telling how many rededications. It was truly a sight to behold.

After the service Scott Carter and some of the ministers met and prayed with and for those that had accepted Christ as savior. It was a wonderful event and time spent with God, if you missed it you really missed out.

March 11, 2006                         TISHOMINGO CHAPEL YOUTH NIGHT
We had a great time Saturday night. The night started off with 24/7- the youth ministry team from Tate Baptist church. They led in worship in songs, and then did an interpreted skit of the song Stained Glass Masquerade. The group did a great job, the Lord is really working in that group, check them out when you can.
After the worship, Bro. Bret McKee came and gave a devotion about David and how his hidden sin broke his fellowship with God, and how we should live the life of a Christian and not just play the church game. A big thanks goes out to Bro. Bret, Tate and all those that helped them prepare, a very great job.

Then we went into the fellowship hall for pizza, hot dogs, nacho chips, and deserts. It was a bountiful feast. Then we went into the gym and played air hockey, ping-pong and basketball. We also had a free-throw competition between the girls and boys. The overall winner was a girl (Kala Marsh). We had three door prizes that were picked at random.

We had an awesome night. A big thanks goes out to Terry Bain, his wife, and all those that helped put it all together, your work and effort are greatly appreciated, God bless all of you.

We had about 45 students, and about 25 workers there, and 9 churches were represented.
